What we offer

Our Design System Services

Our process combines strategic foundations with hands-on component engineering, so your design system becomes infrastructure your team actually uses.

  • Foundations & Tokens – Codify colour, type, spacing, radius, elevation and motion as portable tokens that stay in sync across Figma, code and Storybook.
  • Component Library – Design and build a production-ready library of components with variants, states and accessibility baked in from day one.
  • Figma-to-Code Parity – Mirror Figma libraries with your React, Vue or web components so designers and engineers ship from a single source of truth.
  • Storybook Documentation – Publish interactive docs with usage guidelines, props, and do's and don'ts so the system is self-serve for every team.
  • AI-Ready Systems – Structure tokens, components and docs so AI tools can read, generate and extend the system without breaking conventions.
  • Governance & Adoption – Set contribution models, versioning and rollout plans that help teams actually pick the system up — and keep using it.

How we do it?

Benefits of a Design System

A design system isn't a library — it's how your team compounds decisions. We build systems that pay back every sprint in consistency, speed and confidence.

  • Ship Faster – Cut design and build time with components that are ready to compose, not reinvented each feature.
  • Consistency at Scale – One source of truth across products, platforms and teams — fewer one-off patterns, fewer rework cycles.
  • Accessibility by Default – Contrast, focus states, keyboard patterns and ARIA baked into every component, so WCAG isn't an afterthought.
  • AI + Automation Leverage – A well-structured system lets AI assistants generate on-brand components, flag drift and keep docs current.

FAQs

Design Systems

What is a design system?
A design system is a shared set of foundations, components and guidelines — everything from colour and spacing tokens to production-ready components and usage docs — that helps designers and engineers ship consistent product faster.
How much does a design system project cost?
Costs vary based on scope, the number of components, and whether we're designing, coding, or both. At UntilNow, we scope every engagement to match your timeline, product surface area, and team maturity.
What's the difference between a design system and a component library?
A component library is one part of a design system. A design system also includes foundations and tokens, documentation, contribution and versioning rules, accessibility standards, and a governance model — the parts that make the library actually adopted.
How long does it take to build a design system?
Foundations and a core component library typically take 8 to 16 weeks. Full systems with Storybook, Figma parity and governance roll out over a few quarters — we sequence it so you get value every milestone.
Do you just design it, or build it in code too?
Both. We design the system in Figma, build production components in your stack (React, Vue, web components), document them in Storybook, and wire tokens through to CI so design and code never drift.
Do you work with Storybook?
Yes — Storybook is our default for documentation and component review. We publish interactive docs with variants, props, accessibility notes and usage guidelines so the system is self-serve across teams.
How do design systems work with AI tools?
We structure tokens, components and docs so AI assistants (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) can read and extend the system without inventing one-off patterns. A tidy system amplifies every AI-generated screen and PR.
How do we make sure teams actually use the system?
Adoption is a design problem of its own. We run workshops, set contribution and versioning rules, track component usage, and build the Storybook docs teams reach for — not just reference.
