We’re a tight-knit group of designers, engineers and operators who have worked at early-stage startups, bringing dozens of products to life, then growing and scaling them to become market leaders. We break (sucky) conventions

Traditional venture studios optimise for throughput. Moving fast is generally great for founders. However, moving too fast can box them in by forcing them to launch a half-baked product - whilst parting with a sizeable chunk of equity. Our approach optimises for success rate.

2 Weeks
No fee
The first two weeks are a chance to see what it’s like to work together. First, we ensure that you deeply understand the customer and their pain points. We then work with you to gauge the size of the opportunity and readiness of the market, identify existing alternatives and distribution channels, and explore ways to monetise your idea.

Discover

12 Weeks
Sweat equity or cash
We work together to pinpoint the highest leverage problem for your target customer. We then design multiple solutions which we rapidly test and iterate on, until they put a big smile on your customer’s face. We go one step further and create a lean MVP to get solid proof of demand for your product.

Develop

6–9 Months
Sweat equity or cash
At this stage we’ve identified a desirable, viable and feasible solution. It’s time to develop and launch your product. Our development and go-to-market teams ensure you’re leveraging the right channels to deliver the right set of features under a captivating brand. We don’t just ship the first version and make ourselves scarce. We help you capture feedback, draw insights and iterate until you have something customers truly love.

You’ve hit product-market fit, and it feels like there are new opportunities everywhere you look. We help you prioritise these, and methodically execute against them. We design and run experiments to improve core metrics and lay the foundations for product-led growth. We also help fast track new products to solve adjacent problems for your customers.

Our investment generally applies in two main forms. Sweat equities or Co-Creation.experience, but you need to:

Sweat equities

We are looking for for startups post-revenue or with secured funding, we craft engagement terms tailored to their needs and cap table. We dial our market fees down and invest the delta in your business, which allows you to access top-tier talent at a lower price tag and gain a long-term strategic partner. Think of this reduced fee as our investment in your vision, benchmarked at your venture's recent valuation.

CoCreation

We are looking for I have a unique insight but no team. Sounds like you might benefit from our co-creation mode. This type of engagement is reserved for a select few.  If you've got an idea and believe we’re the missing puzzle piece to bring it to life, this might be worth exploring. However, bear in mind, we step into co-creation mode with only a handful – one or two exceptional founders – each year.

What’s important to us

We are looking for a specific type of founder. Our expert leadership team will review pitch decks, and have an initial call with the founders.

You don’t need to have technical experience, but you need to:

  • Be ready to commit a substantial amount of their efforts towards this;

  • Be solving a problem that matches our areas of expertise; and

  • Be commercially savvy.

Product stage

Our sweet spot is getting founders from 0 to 1. That said, we’ve helped brilliant founders at every phase, from discovery and development to hyper-growth and scale.

Have deep engagement with the problem area, based on either first hand experience or having a deep knowledge of the domain.
